In 2017, Camp Constitution requested the City of Boston fly the Christian flag on the city-owned flag pole. Based on decades of precedent, the City denied the request. Hal Shurtleff, with Liberty Counsel, sued the City of Boston and the case eventually wound its way to the US Supreme Court. The Supreme Court decided that the City of Boston has no authority to determine whose speech is allowed and must give exposure to all groups equally - even if they are hateful and don’t live in the area where the flag will be flown. 

 

A former Billerica resident is using the above ruling to fly the anti-choice flag in our town.
